Pre-schooler BooksBy now your Pre-schooler is loving traditional tales and funny imaginative stories.
They're also likely to be remembering their favourites and probably reading them to you! When you have new books in the house use it as an opportunity to ask your child what they think might be happening in the story before you read it. It's amazing what they come up with looking at the pictures (it will make you wish you had their imagination!). Then ask them what they think might come next before you turn the page... Pre-schoolers also love story time when you start with a theme of a well loved story and then you make up the rest of the story asking them to add bits... you can be silly and funny and use nonsense words and have you both in fits of laughter. To read more on how you can get the most out of reading books with your kids read our article Books, books, books.
