Other Workshops
We've also been involved in running other workshop sessions through the likes of the Parenting Place in Greenlane and Simply Chiropratic in Grey Lynn to name a few.
Coffee Groups and Parent Groups
Parent groups come in many different forms – coffee groups, play groups, dads groups, support groups, you name it...
At GrasshopperKnees we'd love to come and chat to your group about the benefits of introducing your child to the right toys and activities to maximise your children’s learning.
Director Noline Skeet has 40 years educational experience is more than happy to come and see your group in the Auckland/Hamilton region.
See our parents group flyer.
There are a number of different ways we could structure the session with your group:
-
Casual and relaxed approach that is tailored to the age of the children. We would spend a few minutes talking about the developmental milestones typical of that age group and then about the toys and activities most suitable to maximise learning in a fun way on a day to day basis. After that you and the kids can test the toys and look at our packages and ask us any questions you like.
-
Presentation style approach (generally best to do with just adults present) that covers interest areas in more detail. Just a few of the topics we could cover are:
-
Developing "intelligence" in an all-rounded way
-
Developmental milestones 0 - 5
-
Why play is so important and making learning fun is the only option!
-
Creativity - how to ensure our children don't lose their creative streaks
-
Preparing pre-schoolers for school
In all sessions we’d display our recommended toys and learning activities specific to children’s developmental stages.
